Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 2, and your Constitution score increases by 1.
Age. Kobold mature a little faster than humans, reaching adulthood around age 14. They age noticeably faster and rarely live longer than 75 years.
Size. Kobold are around 3 feet tall on average and weight about 35 pounds. Your size is Small.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Darkvision. Kobold eyes are very sensitive, allowing them to see in the dark tunnels they commonly inhabit. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Sunlight Sensitivity. A kobolds sensitive eyes are not without their drawbacks. You have disadvantage on attack rolls and on Wisdom (Perception) checks when in bright light.
Beneath Notice. Outside the warren, many kobolds survive simply by keeping their head down and avoiding attention. You can move through the space of any creature that is of a size larger than yours.
Shifty. Kobold are accustomed to moving quickly and in close quarters. You can take the Dash or Disengage action as a bonus action on each of your turns.
Trap Sense. Kobold warrens are filled with traps of various types, and living around them is second nature to kobolds. You have advantage on Perception checks to discover traps.
Trapsmith. You gain proficiency with thieves’ tools, and you add your intelligence modifier to rolls to disarm traps.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and Draconic. Grammar in either language (or any others, for that matter) is typically rough coming from a kobold raised in a warren.
